Common things
I cannot sign in
Check the handle first: they are all lower case, letters, numbers and underscores. The app says the same thing whether it is the handle or the password that is wrong, on purpose — otherwise the sign-in screen would be a way to find out who has an account.
If the password has gone, tap Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen. If there is a confirmed email address on the account, we send a ten-character code to it; type that into the app and pick a new password. The code lasts an hour and works once.
Confirmed matters. An address has to answer a code once before anything else is sent to it, so one wrong character at sign-up cannot quietly send your reset to a stranger. Check Settings → Account → Email: it says whether the address is confirmed, still waiting, or missing, and you can send the code again from there.
If there is no confirmed address, there is nothing we can check you against and nobody — us included — can let you back in. That is the trade for an account that asks nothing of you, and a new handle is the only way on.
My result did not appear
The game never waits on the network — a match ends when the last cup goes, not when the phone finishes talking to us. A result finished with no signal is kept on the device and sent the next time the app reaches the server, so it should turn up on its own. Opening the app on a working connection is enough.
Each result carries a key, so a result that is sent twice is still recorded once. If something is genuinely missing after the app has been online, tell us.
Delete my account
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete my account. If you have already deleted the app, email legal@happenings.dk with your handle. See Privacy for what gets removed.
