Beer Pong is made by Happenings Group A/S, CVR 40979956, Klostergade 56B, ST., 8000 Aarhus C, Denmark. We are the data controller for everything below. Write to legal@happenings.dk about any of it.
The wider Happenings privacy policy covers our other products. This page is about the app.
What we do not collect
This list is longer than the other one, and deliberately.
- No email address, password or phone number. You sign in with a handle. There is no account to break into because there is nothing in it.
- No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, no crash reporting. The app contains no SDK from any other company. It talks to our server and to nothing else.
- No location. Your city is one you pick from a list. Nothing on the device is asked where it is.
- No contacts, no calendar, no microphone.
- No photo library access unless you choose a profile picture. If you do, the app reads the one image you picked, crops it on the device, and sends that. It does not look at anything else.
What we collect
Your profile
- The handle, display name and city you enter
- A profile picture — generated from your handle unless you upload one
Your games
- Results: whether you won, cups sunk, throws, bounce shots, and the opponent
- Where you played, if you type a venue when logging a real game
- When it was played
- What we work out from those: games played and won, hit rate, day streak, league, and a head-to-head record for each pair of players
Your friends
Friendships are mutual and by handle. Adding someone stores that the two of you are connected, and the record between you.
What stays on your phone
Your player id, and your choices about appearance, language, sound, replays and opponent difficulty. None of it is sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Who can see it
Your handle, display name, city, picture, statistics and league are public — they appear on leaderboards and in search. Your head-to-head record with someone is visible to both of you. Assume anything you put in your profile can be read by anyone using the app, and pick a handle accordingly.
Why we are allowed to
We process this to provide the game and its leaderboards, which is the contract between us when you create a profile. There is no profiling, no automated decision-making, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it. Your profile and match history stay while the account exists, because a leaderboard with holes in it is not a leaderboard.
Deleting your account
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete my account. It removes your profile, your match history, your friendships and your picture, immediately and for good. Other players keep their own results, because those are games they played.
If you have already deleted the app, email legal@happenings.dk with your handle and we will do it for you.
Your rights
A copy of your data is in the app — Settings → Account → Download my data — as a file containing everything we hold about you.
Under the GDPR you can also ask us to correct your data, delete it, or object to what we are doing with it. Email legal@happenings.dk. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish data protection authority.
Children
The app is about a drinking game and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect rather than quietly changing the date at the top.
